Overvalued Player Placement in Experts Poll Placement on My Board Comment
Derek Lee 5th Overall 18th Overall Hedge your bets in case '05 was a career year.
Carlos Lee 43rd Overall 67th Overall What's true of one Lee is true of another.
David Ortiz 13T Overall 29th Overall It's impossible for any DH to rate that highly.
Jose Reyes 18T Overall 38th Overall Don't pay too highly for speed.
Jimmy Rollins 22nd Overall 39th Overall See Jose Reyes.
Gary Sheffield 23rd Overall 42nd Overall I'd rather have a top middle infielder.
Mariano Rivera 25T Overall 44th Overall Similar to Ortiz -- no closer should go here.
Ichiro Suzuki 17th Overall 46th Overall Great in three 5X5 categories, kills in two.
Roy Oswalt 31st Overall 52nd Overall Only pitchers tops in Ks rate here in post-greenies world.
Grady Sizemore 30th Overall 56th Overall Not a franchise fantasy player -- yet.
Carlos Delgado 42nd Overall 60th Overall Doesn't stand out at a deep position.
Eric Chavez 45T Overall 76th Overall Don't assume this is the MVP season.
Ryan Howard 44th Overall 83rd Overall He'll earn this spot -- probably in 2007.
Pat Burrell 25th in Outfield 33rd in Outfield Lack of speed hurts with steals and runs.
Brian Giles 22nd in Outfield 47th in Outfield Experts need to check numbers instead of reputation.
Shawn Green 37th in Outfield 49th in Outfield Decent numbers, but not a starter in a deep league.
Magglio Ordonez 32nd in Outfield 50th in Outfield You need to hedge the injuries more than the experts did.
JD Drew 34th in Outfield 51st in Outfield See Magglio Ordonez.
Tadahito Iguchi 8T at 2B 15th at 2B Not a viable starting option in mixed leagues -- yet, anyway.
Mark Buehrle 12th at SP 24th at SP Not a "K Monster" -- not Top 20.
Freddy Garcia 25T at SP 45th at SP Numbers are decent but not outstanding.
Greg Maddux 37th at SP 50th at SP Stats don't justify the love from experts.
Mike Mussina 34T at SP 52nd at SP Mediocre numbers deserve mediocre slotting.
Derek Lowe 50th at SP 65th at SP Don't overpay for his September.

Undervalued Player Placement in Experts Poll Placement on My Board Comment
Jorge Cantu Not in Top 60 Overall 27th Overall Power, 2B/3B eligibility -- he is insanely underappreciated.
Felix Hernandez Not in Top 60 Overall 31st Overall Will contend for the Cy Young Award -- worth the cost.
Felipe Lopez Not in Top 60 Overall 41st Overall Not a fluke and hits in a bandbox.  Enough said.
Scott Podsednik Not in Top 60 Overall 45th Overall Apparently, the forgotten speed specialist.
Victor Martinez 34th Overall 11th Overall Top catchers go early and he is the best by far.
Jake Peavy 35T Overall 14th Overall Undeniably one of the top five fantasy SPs.  Undeniably.
Chase Utley 25T Overall 17th Overall Already a cornerstone player and now 27 years old.
Aramis Ramirez 38th Overall 24th Overall Usually doesn't get the love his stats deserve.
Jhonny Peralta 60th Overall 36th Overall Blooming quickly and great power for SS.
Chad Tracy 27th at OF 19th at OF Now tri-eligible and has developed surprising power.
Rickie Weeks 11nd at 2B 7th at 2B The experts will miss his explosion by a year -- don't you.
Mike Piazza 12th at C 7th at C Fading, but now likely dual-eligible.  Still a legit starter.
AJ Burnett 28th at SP 16th at SP Jays paid him like an ace, you need to as well.
Oliver Perez Not in Top 50 SP 27th at SP Don't overreact to a brutal season.  He has ace stuff.
Scott Kazmir 44th at SP 29th at SP 17th in Ks last year.  Developing faster than you think.

NOTE: Overvalued and undervalued players were determined by measuring players on my draft board against an "experts poll" of top fantasy magazines to gauge the
conventional wisdom about player value.
